In 1955 I became enamoured of a Manx girl called Janet and I spent some time with her even though I was with my parents most of the time. I was a good two weeks and I left the Island on the ferry in tears having to part from the girl... That was the year of "Unchained Melody" and since then it has reminded me of a great year when Geoff Duke just missed the first-ever ton lap.
Many popular tunes remind me of the TT and you may have seen my "TT-the Musical" in book one.
However the one that, to me, personifies the TT is "Jump" by van Halen.
