TTFAN IN 1907 ATTIRE | PLAQUE ON THE WALL |
I was already aware that there would be a re-enactment of the 1907 TT which would be during the first week of TT 2007.
So i packed a few extra bits, an old suit, a waist coat, a pair of old specs and a cap.
The friends with whom I stay each year were surprised when a man came down to breakfast looking like someone from the early days and after initial surprise there was not a little mirth. I took as a compliment and I set out for St Johns to join the huge crowd waiting for the momemt to come. I was not alone in wearing attire befitting the occasion. Some of my friends and colleagues had also dressed up and we laughed as we stood in the middle of the paddock of old motorcycles.
The event itself flew by but I managed to get lots of photos.
